Job Description The Opportunity: As the Warehouse Manager for our Clayton South site, you will play a pivotal role in the leadership and management of Inwards Goods Receival and Despatch teams, responsible for inventory and cost control including management of warehouse space for raw materials and finished goods. Additionally, responsible for compliance to all Quality and Safety standards as per MNA policy. Ensure all finished goods are picked and available for despatch within agreed timelines. Manage the labour to ensure low cost to serve. Work with other stakeholders in the business (Operations, Supply Chain, Customer Service and Demand Teams) to ensure we utilise our networks for lowest cost for inbound & outbound freight to Clayton. Participate in operational, tactical and strategic planning for Clayton site. Coach and mentor direct reports and other key warehouse personnel as required. Ensure appropriate plans for ongoing training and development for all direct staff are in place. Ensure all job-related activities are carried out in accordance with Monde Nissin targets, Values, Quality standards and legislative requirements i.e. Health and Safety, EEO. Lead and model MNA values, and compliance to statutory Health and Safety regulations such that risks to personnel, visitors and stakeholders are minimised. Visibly show commitment to safety through participation in formal and informal discussions, workplace visits and hazard inspections. Investigate all accidents/incidents within area of responsibility and corrective action implemented to prevent a recurrence. Ensure liaison with employee health and safety representatives, particularly on any workplace changes which have a safety component. Weekly coordination with demand and planning team and plan warehouse team roster based on peak & off peak season volumes to manage and control labour cost against budget. Develop and implement succession plan for Warehouse teams, including training and multiskilling between Inbound and Outbound tasks, including admin duties. Align with Demand and Planning in annual planning of warehousing capacity and capability based on annual forecast. Contribute to annual budget for warehousing operations. Coordinate maintenance plans for warehouse facilities and equipment – i.e. Off Peak vs Peak Season. Desired Skills and Experience To Succeed With Us: A high-level understanding of supply chain management processes and best practice, including COR. At least 5 years experience in Warehousing and Logistics including forklift operations. Experience in inventory cycle count and variance investigation. Experience in Dangerous Goods and Chemical Handling Standards. Experience in the use of appropriate ERP, preferably Pronto system. Experience in the delivery of significant cost savings or process improvements related to the management of a supply chain function. Experience in measuring and reporting service and cost within warehousing and logistics. Hands-on leadership style and empowers direct reports and team members. Personal characteristics – Driven, ability to be flexible and adaptable in a changing environment, communication skills, organisational skills, friendly, positive and customer-focused personality. Ability to work without specific direction and manage through ambiguity as required. Flexibility with working hours as required. Strong communication and influencing skills, particularly in leading and managing change. Highly numerate with the ability to understand data and to interpret it in a lateral manner. Diplomacy and tact in order to gain support at all levels in the business coupled with confidence, intelligence and business acumen skills to influence abilities and outcomes.
