About the Role We are seeking an experienced Wastewater Engineer to play a critical role in the continuous improvement of our national liquid waste treatment operations. This role will be based at our Brisbane head office, with travel opportunities across Australia to support a growing number of processing facilities. You will be responsible for optimising existing treatment processes, identifying, designing and implementing new treatment technologies, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. Working closely within our Environmental Services team, you will develop strategies to enhance efficiency, performance, and sustainability in our waste treatment operations. Key Responsibilities Process Optimisation & Continuous Improvement Assess and improve existing wastewater treatment systems to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain compliance Design and implement new technologies and process innovations to optimise resource recovery and waste minimisation Develop and standardise best practices for wastewater treatment across multiple facilities Technical Leadership & Project Delivery Provide technical expertise on treatment processes, including chemical, biological, and physical treatment methods Work with operational teams to troubleshoot, maintain, and enhance water treatment infrastructure Lead and contribute to engineering projects, including pilot trials, plant and technology upgrades, and system expansions Conduct technical assessments and feasibility studies for new treatment solutions Stakeholder Engagement & Business Growth Support the Sales team with technical insights to develop new service offerings Identify opportunities to expand and enhance Pure Environmental’s treatment capabilities About You Degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline Minimum of five years of experience including design, construction and commissioning of wastewater treatment and/or industrial waste management processes Strong understanding of water chemistry and treatment unit process selection Experience implementing continuous improvement initiatives and new technologies in wastewater treatment Hands-on expertise with biological, chemical, and physical treatment processes Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively with cross-functional teams Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities Willingness to travel nationally as required What We Offer A high-impact role in a fast-growing, sustainability-focused business The opportunity to drive innovation in Australia’s wastewater management sector Competitive remuneration and career growth opportunities A collaborative and supportive team environment The chance to work with industry leaders on complex and rewarding projects If you are ready to make a difference in sustainable water treatment, join us and be part of a team shaping the future of environmental solutions. #J-18808-Ljbffr
