About the role The Weeds Action Fund Coordinator will have a passion for weed management and be committed to creating targeted weed management programs that will make a tangible difference to Tasmania’s natural environment and valuable agriculture. Provide support to landowners, land managers, and community groups. Coordinate weed planning and control activities. Provide policy and secretariat support to the Weeds Action Fund Steering Committee and other groups. Develop and implement education and awareness programs. Hours per fortnight 73.50 hours per fortnight (minimum 58.80 hours, by negotiation). Period of appointment 12 months. Minimum Requirements A current motor vehicle’s licence. An appropriate qualification in the area of Agricultural Science or Natural Resource Management. A minimum five years-experience in the delivery of natural management programs and projects. ChemCert or equivalent accreditation for the safe application and use of agricultural chemicals.
