Job Description

Greentalent, a recruiter specialized in the search and selection of professionals and managers in the Energy, Engineering, and Environment sectors for an established plant engineering company, leader in the hydroelectric sector, is looking for a: The ideal candidate has a degree in engineering or a technical diploma in welding. He/she has gained previous experience in the field of carpentry work or in engineering companies producing medium to large-sized equipment. The chosen candidate will be relocated to Australia where the client is working on a pump-hydro battery megaproject. This person will be responsible for drafting welding specifications, incoming material acceptance control, and welding inspection. The main responsibilities are summarized as follows: Defining the welding materials to be used and drawing up requests for the purchase of welding materials; Performing receipt control on welding materials; Defining welding modes in production (WPS) and their qualification (PQR); Drafting and managing welding-related job order documents; Defining welding qualification methods and managing welder qualification activities; Performing inspections on welding activities; Interfacing with the customer and suppliers for welding problems. Requirements: A Degree or technical Diploma in Welding Engineering; At least 3 years of experience in this role, preferably in international contexts; Knowledge of the main materials and processes; Ability to liaise with foreign customers and subcontractors; Fluency in English (both written and spoken), Italian knowledge is recommended; Willingness to relocate to Australia, as this will be the place of employment.
