We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Designer to join our design team at P Johnson. This role is crucial for interpreting and bringing to life the creative vision outlined by our Creative Director. The ideal candidate will have a well developed sense of style, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of design principles. You will work directly with the Creative Director and collaborate with the broader team to ensure the design outputs align with P Johnson's distinctive aesthetic. Key Responsibilities: Mood Board Interpretation : Analyse and translate mood boards provided by the Creative Director into innovative, practical, and on-brand design concepts. Design Development : Create detailed sketches, technical drawings, and design prototypes that capture the essence of the mood boards while maintaining P Johnson’s brand identity. Collaboration : Work closely with the Creative Director, founder, and other design team members to brainstorm and refine ideas that resonate with the brand’s vision. Product Development : Oversee the design process from initial concept through to final product, ensuring design consistency and high quality. Feedback Integration : Incorporate feedback from the founder and Creative Director to fine-tune designs and align with strategic goals. Presentation : Present design concepts and final pieces to stakeholders, articulating the thought process and how the design meets project requirements. Mentorship : Provide guidance and support to junior design team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Qualifications and Skills: Experience : Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a designer, preferably in womenswear, fashion, or related industries. Education : Degree in Fashion Design, Graphic Design, or a relevant field. Creative Vision : Strong ability to interpret creative direction and transform it into cohesive, high-quality designs. Technical Proficiency : Proficient in industry-standard design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, CAD programs). Attention to Detail : Meticulous with design elements to ensure accuracy and excellence in final outputs. Collaboration and Communication : Exceptional communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders. Problem Solving : Ability to troubleshoot design challenges and find solutions that align with brand standards.
