Job Description
Seeking an experienced Work Health and Safety Coordinator to join a Government team in East Perth.Your New Company A government organisation in East Perth is seeking an experienced Work Health and Safety Coordinator to join the team. This role is being offered on an initial 6-month temporary contract, working full-time hours and paying a competitive hourly rate. The department is seeking someone to commence in mid-March, with interviews being held on Monday 25 February.Your New Role As the Work Health and Safety Coordinator, you will be responsible for: Ensuring all cohorts across the multidisciplinary workforce adhere to the requirements of the department's Safety, Health and Wellbeing (SHW) Standards and Work Health and Safety (WHS) Legislation. Collaborating with internal stakeholders to discuss directions of corporate safety initiatives. Responding to health and safety matters and incidents as required. Building and enhancing stakeholder relationships. Interpreting and implementing the requirements of the safety management system for effective safety risk management and worker wellbeing. What You'll Need To Succeed In order to be considered, you must display:Previous experience in coordinating all aspects of Work Health and Safety across regional organisations with an office and site-based workforce. Diploma in Work Health and Safety, or relevant discipline. Advanced verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively build and manage stakeholder relationships at all levels. What You'll Get In Return East Perth office close to public transport and paid parking. Full-time hours. 6-month temporary contract. Start date mid-March.
