Job Description

TheSeventh-day Adventist Church (Western Australian Conference) Limited is seeking a dynamicand dedicated Work Health and Safety (WHS) Project Officer to lead key initiatives infostering a safer, healthier, and more compliant work environment. This is an excitingopportunity to contribute to the growth of a vibrant and supportive faith-based organisation. This role is based in our administrative headquarters in Welshpool and is a full-time, 12-monthfixed-term contract (with potential for extension). Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement a comprehensive Work Health and Safety Management System (WHSMS) to align with the organisation’s objectives. Enhance communication channels to ensure all stakeholders are informed and engaged on WHS topics. Create scoping documents outlining the organisation’s WHS context and operations. Allocate resources effectively and support training and competency development for staff and volunteers. Proactively identify hazards and manage risks while maintaining a legal register to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Support continuous improvement in WHS practices to foster long-term safety within the organisation. Minimum Requirements: Applicants must be practising, baptised members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church with aclear commitment to its mission, values, and lifestyle. They will have relevant experience in WHS management; qualifications in Work Health and Safety are desirable but not essential. #J-18808-Ljbffr
