It provides Victoria’s 24-hour emergency call-taking and dispatch services for Police, Fire, Ambulance and VICSES. This integration of emergency services communications within Triple Zero Victoria is unique in Australia and rare worldwide. About the Role The Claims Management Advisor is a key and active participant of the Health, Safety & Wellbeing team, providing organisation-wide support across a range of health, safety, wellbeing, early intervention and workers compensation matters. A newly created role, the Claims Management Advisor is responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of Workers Compensation claims, ensuring the timely processing of claim entitlements in adherence to relevant policies and legislation. Day to day responsibilities include: Liaising with line managers to accurately input the data required for the fortnightly pay authority for WorkCover pays. Maintenance of accurate Workers Compensation claim records to ensure that correct information is provided to payroll for calculation and processing. Communicating with TZV’s WorkCover insurer in a timely manner as required. Educating and supporting line managers to ensure that accurate and timely information is provided. About You The preferred candidate will be a motivated self-starter, holding extensive experience in Workers Compensation and Claims Administration, together with the following skills and attributes: Strong understanding of Workers Compensation governance, legislative requirements, and a customer-focused approach to managing claims effectively. Sound understanding of WorkCover claims with demonstrated experience in Workers Compensation pays. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a can-do attitude. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders. Excellent attention to detail and numeracy skills. Experience working in the Emergency Services or Health industries would be advantageous.
