In this position, you will work alongside our Workforce Development Partner to maximise clinical capability within the RAAFA workforce through your innovative and creative lens. As the Workforce Development Partner – Clinical, you will become a valuable member of our amazing Workforce Development Team and effect change by leading targeted capability development initiatives and finding solutions to workforce challenges. This role is based at RAAFA’s Central Support Office in South Perth with the requirement to travel to our Residential Aged Care Facilities within the Metro area, spanning from Meadow Springs to Merriwa! This role will see you: Develop and strengthen RAAFA’s professional workforce through targeted clinical education programs, promoting best practice and continuous improvement, to achieve optimum care and resident satisfaction. Design, develop, and partner with clinical experts to deliver a clinical education program, collaborating with RAAFA’s Clinical Governance and Quality team to focus on improving RAAFA’s quality of care indicators, best practice and current trends. Lead on RAAFA’s clinical CPD training program, establishing frequent and impactful CPD sessions and topics for professional personnel. Partner with suitable providers to introduce a Graduate Program, to support newly graduated Nurses and Allied Health Professionals to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to succeed in the Aged Care Sector. In collaboration with Managers and People & Culture functions, establish career pathways for staff based on individual goals and organisational requirements. Develop and Lead RAAFA’s Professional Transition Program, supporting internal applicants to transition into professional roles. Optimise outcomes from Professional Student placements (conversion to employment) in collaboration with the Workforce Development and Recruitment Team. Collaborate with Recruitment to establish strategic partnerships and Employment pathways to attract skilled registered professionals (e.g. partnerships with Universities, Registered Training Organisations and professional migration pathways). Maintain records and proactively develop reporting measures and practices to assess the impact of workforce development activities. About you: Current AHPRA Registration. Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or equivalent. Demonstrated experience in the design and delivery of effective clinical education, competency programs and workforce development initiatives in healthcare. Experience in designing, developing and delivering education and training with an ability to effectively assess and evaluate to meet agreed outcomes. Sound working knowledge of the Aged Care Sector and the requirements of the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission and Aged Care Standards. A strong teamwork ethic with the ability to collaborate and work in true partnerships. An understanding of contemporary workforce and people development practices and the ability to successfully translate operational need into long-term organisation initiatives.
