The Position: The role of Workshop & Plant Manager is responsible for the management of all tools, stock and inventory required for the workshop, and the procurement of materials for prefab. The role will be responsible for managing the national vehicle fleet (liaising with key interstate stakeholders as required) as well as being hands-on with the day-to-day maintenance & tidiness of the Head Office/Warehouse/Workshop site. Key Responsibilities: Manage warehouse stock and inventory ensuring it is kept at a minimum and any excess stock returned to suppliers. Compile annual stock take and issue to finance team. Manage logistics, truck deliveries, prefab etc., including the organising of all materials. Provide back up support to the purchasing officer as required. Provide information as needed for costing purposes. Manage all tools and equipment ensuring all logs, registers and whiteboards are current and up to date at all times. This includes all testing, tagging, calibration, repairs/maintenance, etc. Manage the national vehicle fleet of cars & plant, liaising with interstate key stakeholders as required. Ensuring the service & maintenance of fleet, registrations, etc. Maintenance and tidiness of the HO facility, including the carpark and warehouse areas as well as ensuring the facility is compliant to health and safety regulations at all times with clear exit areas and safety evacuation areas marked etc. Assist with ad-hoc duties when requested by reporting manager and Senior management.
