Carmichael College is a Prep to Year 10 co-educational, non-denominational Christian College situated in Morayfield, Queensland. The College was established in 2015 and is enjoying steady growth. This year the school will have students in Prep to Year 12. The College is seeking applications from qualified, experienced, passionate Christian leaders with an open registration, to join as a Year Level Coordinator: Years 8/9. Applicants should be available to commence as soon as possible, and: Have the ability to teach from a Christian perspective; Be passionate about teaching and learning; Be willing to take on new forms of pedagogy; Be able to work in a full-time capacity; Be team players; Be committed to pastoral care. The Role As a strategic and relational person, the Year Level Coordinator: Years 8/9 will assist both the Head of Middle School and the Head of Secondary to enable the flourishing of these year levels in the pursuit of excellent education, intentional pastoral care and connected community. The YLC works directly with the Head of Middle School. Essential Criteria An ability to work closely with the school leadership to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational and eternal vision and mission, focused on providing quality learning outcomes for all students. A demonstrated ability to support teaching staff in the Year 8-9 area: including liaison, development of individual targets, monitoring and supervision of staff and curriculum implementation, and oversight of student teachers. A demonstrated ability to manage student behaviour issues in accordance with school policies. Demonstrated experience of teaching in Secondary Education. Well-developed communication, administration and interpersonal skills. A passion for leading, motivating and empowering Secondary staff in their professional growth. A deep understanding of a biblical Worldview. Applicants must be fully registered with the Queensland College of Teachers.
