Want to be part of it? 2x full time positions based in South East metro Be part of a collaborative and supportive team Contribute to community safety and rehabilitation of young people in the justice system About Us The Youth Justice Team provides community-based supervision and a range of case management and support services for young people who are appearing before, or have been sentenced by, the Children's Court, Children's Koori Court, and adult criminal courts and who have been placed on youth justice supervised orders. The team promotes the personal development of young people and contributes to the reduction of crime in the community. About the Role Youth Justice are currently recruiting two full time Case Manager positions based in Frankston and Dandenong Youth Justice. Case Managers supervise and provide support to young people subject to Youth Justice Court orders. You will prepare Court and Youth Parole Board reports, develop Client Service Plans and attend court for client matters. You will also provide assessments, develop case plans/reports and advocate for the provision of support services. The 2 positions on offer are as follows: 1x Ongoing position based at Frankston 1x Fixed Term position until 30 June 2025 based at Dandenong Please note that while each role has a primary location as above, it is expected successful candidates will work across both locations within the region. About You To be successful in this role you will have: A passion for contributing to the rehabilitation of young people in the justice system An understanding of the youth justice system, the Children, Youth and Families Act 2005 and associated policies and guidelines Knowledge of the principles of case management with the ability to utilise a range of assessments and interventions relevant to the background and needs of the young person Empathy and cultural awareness including an appreciation of different cultures Confidence in managing stakeholders, negotiating effectively to develop and implement solutions Qualifications A Bachelor of Social Work or Diploma in Community Services Work is highly desirable. Other tertiary qualifications at Diploma level or above will be considered only if they include units of study in case management/casework practice and have had supervised practical work placements. A full driver's licence is required due to the need to respond to emergencies across the state at short notice and outside business hours as required. A current employee Working with Children Check (WWCC) card is required and will need to be provided prior to commencement of employment by the applicant. Currency will need to be maintained by the employee for the period of employment.
