Our Family Based Care team are currently recruiting Youth Workers within the Central Coast region on a casual basis. As a Youth Worker, you will be responsible for monitoring family visits between children and their families. From time to time, you may also be required for transportation or mentoring to children. The shift pattern is across 7 days and will include morning shifts, afternoons/evenings, and weekends. Key Responsibilities: Monitor and facilitate contact between the child or young person and the family member. Ensure the safety and well-being of the child or young person and those participating in the visit. Establish rapport with children and young people through mentoring or youth work. Provide transportation. Complete report writing after each contact with a child or young person. Access rostering and shift information through email and calendar. Skills & Experience: Certificate 4 in Community Services, Youth Work, or other relevant qualifications to the industry. Current Unrestricted Full Drivers Licence. Comprehensively insured vehicle, child lock system and back seat capacity. Current First Aid and CPR and/or willing to obtain. Confident in using a variety of computer systems and Outlook. Previous experience working with children and young people. Passion & commitment to improving the quality of life, skills, and independence of children and young people. Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check.
