We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team as our 26TEN Community Coordinator . Your main responsibilities will include identifying local language, literacy, and numeracy (LLN) needs, as well as finding opportunities to enhance these skills. You will be tasked with strategically mobilising new and existing resources to develop a dedicated and sustainable 26TEN Community that will continue to thrive beyond the project's conclusion. The coordinator will develop and expand a network of literacy practitioners, including volunteers, to provide support to community members in their local areas. To achieve this, the coordinator will utilise initiatives outlined in the Tasmanian Adult Learning Strategy to enhance Tasmania's adult literacy and numeracy network. Additionally, they will work on extending the TasTAFE online literacy and numeracy volunteers training program to benefit the business and community sector. The Successful Applicant Will Have: A tertiary qualification within a relevant field, with a minimum of two (2) years demonstrated experience in a project management role with knowledge of planning, report writing and project evaluation. Highly organised, with sound computer skills to be able to meet deadlines under conflicting pressures while being committed to meeting stakeholder expectations. A high level of understanding of adult and family literacy and learning principles. Understanding of Local Government context in the provision of service.
