With your consolidated experience and growing proficiency, you’ll support the Nurse Unit Manager in leading a dedicated team, ensuring continuity and consistency of care, and fostering a collaborative and supportive environment. This role offers a balance of clinical and management responsibilities, allowing you to guide and mentor less experienced staff while providing exceptional patient-centred care. In this position, you’ll manage a portfolio that includes implementing practice changes, supporting performance management processes, and overseeing essential ward / unit operations such as rostering, recruitment, and financial planning. About You We are looking for a dedicated and skilled professional to join our team. To thrive in this role, you will possess: Qualifications: Registration or eligibility for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, including relevant qualifications in mental health (if applicable). Skills: Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills, with the ability to work creatively and effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Experience: At least 3 years of post-registration experience or current classification as a Clinical Nurse, with demonstrated expertise in supervising less experienced staff. Knowledge: A strong understanding of healthcare legislation, standards, codes, and quality improvement systems, alongside contemporary nursing practices and issues.
