The collection dates back to 1935, making it one of the world’s oldest audiovisual collections and one of the country’s most used cultural collections, with around 125 million views of collection content each year. The NFSA is undergoing significant change, with increased Government investment leading to digital transformation, establishing the NFSA as Australia’s most dynamic cultural organisation. About the Team The Marketing Design team is part of the Marketing and Communications Branch, which includes marketing, communications, editorial, and content teams. The team works closely with NFSA staff across all business areas to support strategic direction and engage audiences with national digital platforms and onsite programs. Job Description The Opportunity The Marketing Specialist, Digital, will play a crucial role in increasing brand awareness and delivering on key digital KPIs by developing and executing impactful marketing campaigns focused on digital marketing. This position requires a marketer with strong campaign skills, strengths in digital platforms, copywriting, storytelling, and an audience focus. The occupant will be insight-driven, passionate about social and digital media, and adept at telling stories that drive increases in cultural participation. Key Responsibilities/Duties Develop and implement digital marketing campaigns supporting national initiatives to deliver website visitation and engagement, ensuring organisational KPIs are met. Oversee the creation of campaign assets, including design briefs and audiovisual production briefs, writing marketing copy, and managing approvals and material production. Develop strategies to grow digital audiences, including email databases and social accounts. Be the primary liaison for relevant external agencies and partners, developing industry and community partnerships. Manage allocated budgets by tracking campaign budgets, payments, and purchase orders. Work collaboratively with the marketing and communications team and other areas. Manage internal and external stakeholders including approvals, briefings, updates, and reporting. Ensure all initiatives align with our Disability Inclusion Action Plan, Reconciliation Action Plan, and Sustainability and Climate Action Strategy. Identify industry trends and emerging opportunities while tracking key performance indicators. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a strong understanding of the NFSA collection. Selection Criteria Demonstrated experience in digital marketing across various platforms and channels. Ability to develop and manage digital promotional campaigns, including campaign optimisation. Strong copywriting and messaging skills for various digital mediums. Proven track record of delivering quality audience-focused outcomes driven by data and insights. Strong project and stakeholder management skills, working autonomously and collaboratively. Desired Skills and Experience Mandatory: 5+ years of experience in a digital marketing or similar role.
