We are seeking an enthusiastic Technical Lead AEM Developer to drive our unification experience initiative at Tennis.com.au, leading two squads that power the digital experience for tennis fans across Australia. As the AEM Tech Lead , you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our platform, leading the development and integration of dynamic elements such as video and multimedia content, calendars, forms, social media feeds, advertising, tournament schedules, and results. Ensure seamless global header and footer components integration to enhance the user experience. About the role This is a hands-on technical leadership role, ensuring squads deliver high-quality solutions that align with stakeholder requirements and adhere to AEM best practices. In this pivotal role, you will guide the team in developing and maintaining an AEM service that integrates with Elastic Search to deliver advanced search capabilities on our website. Oversee the configuration and performance of AEM to push and retrieve data efficiently for a fast, user-friendly experience. In this role, you will: Manage the platform’s efficiency, security, and scalability, including handling user roles, permissions, and access control. Oversee platform performance, applying updates, implementing security protocols, and addressing vulnerabilities. Automate environments and optimise for high-traffic events to ensure seamless operation during key moments in the tennis season. Define and drive the technical roadmap for AEMaaCS-based projects, aligning with the unification experience initiative for tennis.com.au. Design and develop AEM components, templates, dialogs, workflows, and content/experience fragments (Sling, CRX, OSGi, JCR). Lead the front-to-back integration using Node.js, TypeScript, CSS/SASS, HTML, client-side JS. Lead the AEM Elastic Search Squad’s efforts to publish data from AEM to Elastic Search. Configure and manage AEMaaCS instances, inclusive of Dispatcher setup, rewrite rules, and Cloud Manager pipelines. Build, document, and integrate REST APIs at both client and server side. About you What you will bring to the role: Proven experience in AEM development , with deep expertise in both core AEM functionalities and integrations. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to guide, mentor, and inspire development teams to deliver outstanding results. Experience working with Elastic Search and knowledge of how it integrates with AEM. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex technical requirements in a high-traffic environment. A passion for the digital sports experience and delivering high-performance solutions. You must hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check .
