AIR COMBAT – CAPABILITY SPECIALIST (ACCS) Bonboo Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia Role: Air Combat – Capability Specialist Location: This position will be based at RAAF Base Williamtown, NSW, 2314. Details: As an Integration Specialist at Bonboo you will be required to contribute to the development of Live and Synthetic activities. Primary Responsibilities: The Air Combat – Capability Specialist (ACCS) is the team member responsible for bringing tactical and operational air combat and electronic attack expertise to guarantee training outputs that mirror real-world air combat execution. The ACCS is the expert on mission planning, integration and execution and has authority where required to modify or shape individual elements to meet learning outcomes and facilitate valid training paradigms: During the exercise design phase, the incumbent will: Work with Integrated Force planners. Work with stakeholders to refine, shape and align training requirements. Help define the threat environment and scenario. Assist with a development plan that outlines all components of the exercise. During the exercise planning phase, the incumbent will: Work with the enabling and participating stakeholders. Design and produce any technical or tactical documentation required. Coordinate support elements to ensure they are adequately prepared. Assist in the design of a viable threat environment. During the exercise conduct phase, the incumbent will: Support the AFTTP 3-3 Integrated Planning and Employment framework. Ensure the mission enablers are suitable to enable planning, conduct and debriefing. Ensure changes to any mission elements are communicated to all affected entities. Operate as a Mission Commander (MC) or Functional Team Lead (FTL). Operate as or support the role of Red Coordinator. Lead the Blue and/or Red and/or White team(s) as appropriate. Facilitate effective debriefing, including the Air-to-Air (or similar) shot validation. Capture lessons for their nominated mission. Secondary Responsibilities: In addition to the tasks described above the ACCS will be required to possess a strong understanding of: Military aviation operations (as an operator and mission commander). Multi-platform operations, particularly integrated and joint operations. Exercise design, planning and execution. Aviation safety and the RAAF Aviation Safety Management System. The incumbent must have a working knowledge of: Live and Synthetic training and operations. Distributed mission training. ADF and RAAF education frameworks. Essential employment requirements and skills: Either: CAT B on an Australian Fighter Type, namely F-35A, F/A-18F or EA-18G; or CAT B Instructor on either E-7A, P-8, C-130J, C-17A, C-27J or KC-30A. Contributions to and experience in ADF Operational Capability environments, Test or Tactics Development frameworks. Large Force Employment & Mission Command experience. Desirable employment requirements: Australian Weapon School Graduate. Multi-platform experience. Systems networking development and effectiveness assessment experience (such as Link 16, MADL exchange requirements and effectiveness). Weapons system evaluation experience. Security Requirements: Obtain and maintain TSPV clearance at all times while performing Services. The incumbent must be an eligible nationality to meet ITAR requirements. The incumbent must be eligible to access Australian Eyes Only (AUSTEO) caveated information at all times while performing Services, unless otherwise agreed by the Commonwealth. Salary Range: $290,000 - $310,000 p.a. (full-time basis) plus superannuation and regular employee leave allowances and benefits. EOI Closing Date: 26 March 2025 WHY JOIN BONBOO?
