Job Description
Federal Government Department is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Communications Officer to join their Strategic Communications Division. As an APS5 Strategic Communications Officer, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing multi-channel communications and engagement strategies to support key initiatives across the organisation. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and deliver strategic communication plans that are clear, concise, and effective for people with disability, their families and carers, staff, and partners. Interpret complex information (like legislation) and translate it into clear, accessible messaging. Embed inclusive and accessible principles in all communication approaches and collateral. Provide specialist advice and interpretation of communication processes, guidelines, and policies. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to scope needs, resolve issues, and achieve positive outcomes. Assist with scheduling, coordination, and publishing communication content. Undertake a wide variety of general tasks, including managing inbox enquiries, preparing reports on communication activities, and providing content to varied internal stakeholders. Requirements: Experience in strategic communications, marketing, or a related field. Strong understanding of inclusive and accessible communication principles. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a high-performing team. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience in stakeholder management and engagement. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Communications and relevant experience. Education: Bachelor Degree Apply now for immediate consideration.
