Your new company A well-known Federal Government Department based in the heart of Canberra is seeking an APS5 or APS6 Project Officer to join one of their dynamic teams at the forefront of modernising entitlement management systems, enhancing digital interactions, and driving impactful change in the education sector. This vacancy has recently become available due to an increase in work demand. Your new role As the Project Support Officer, you will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of a project. Reporting to the Director, you will maintain and apply departmental frameworks, develop governance and assurance reports, and provide comprehensive administrative support. Your responsibilities will include secretariat duties, procurement, recruitment, contract management, and financial reporting. What you'll need to succeed To be successful in your new role, you will have previous experience in a similar position and the Federal Government. You will also have excellent planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines, strong interpersonal and communication skills, proficiency in preparing detailed reports using various reference materials, the ability to make autonomous decisions and handle moderately complex tasks with limited supervision, and analytical skills to identify and resolve issues effectively. To be considered for this role, you will need to be an Australian citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance at the Baseline level or higher.
