The People Branch delivers outcomes relating to human resource (HR) strategies, frameworks and policies, diversity and culture, safety and wellbeing, workforce planning, recruitment, employment conditions and pay, HR systems, and reporting. This agency works in partnership with various business areas to bring a strategic focus and innovative approaches, built on solid operational foundations. As they prepare for the next Federal Election, they are seeking talent to join their teams to support the delivery of programs that maintain the safety and wellbeing of their staff and community.Your new role As an APS6 Senior Rehabilitation Case Manager, you will coordinate timely and sustainable return-to-work support programs for ill and injured employees across the agency. You'll collaborate with employees, managers, rehabilitation providers, and consult with medical professionals, including Comcare, to facilitate the return-to-work process. Your responsibilities will include tailored case management, monitoring injury management issues, conducting research and analysis, developing internal and external relationships, providing accurate advice and reporting, and contributing to election readiness activities. 3 month non-ongoing opportunity Collaborative and supportive work environment Engaging in meaningful work that impacts the safety and wellbeing of staff What you'll need to succeed Sound knowledge of Comcare's workers' compensation scheme and related legislation In-depth knowledge and application of APS rehabilitation management frameworks, systems, and processes Proven ability to set priorities and deliver quality results within set times Strong communication skills and ability to anticipate stakeholder needs across a geographically dispersed network Proven analytical abilities and experience in facilitating change and contributing to business improvement strategies Demonstrated personal integrity and adherence to legislative and policy parameters Political neutrality and Australian citizenship Baseline Security Clearance and National Police Check Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, including Certificate IV in Injury Management, or equivalent work experience are desirable.
