Multiple positions are available at the APS6 level in our Remote Service Delivery teams in NT, NSW, SA, WA and QLD. These opportunities are for Identified and Affirmative Measure – Disability and First Nations.These roles may include: Remote Senior Planner Local Community Connector The NDIA’s Remote Service Delivery teams have a vision to improve the lives of people with disability living in rural and remote communities across Australia. Our mandate is to provide a service that gives people living in rural and remote areas access to all elements of the NDIS: information and education, community connection, access to the NDIS, quality NDIS plans, access to services and ongoing support. About you NDIA’s Remote Service Delivery teams are suited for people who are passionate about working in their local rural and remote communities to support people in their communities with their NDIS journey.What we’re looking for in our ideal candidate: Empathy and understanding: The ability to understand and empathise with the challenges faced by people living in rural and remote Australia, in particular people with disability and First Nations people. Leadership: Demonstrates strong leadership skills, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams to achieve project goals. Person centred focus: Focused on the needs and goals of individuals and seeks to understand what is important to each person, fostering trust and establishing mutual respect. Outcomes oriented and proactive: A proactive, solutions-focused approach with commitment to achieving quality outcomes. Accountable and independent: Upholds personal and professional ethics and accountability with demonstrated experience working independently or under limited guidance. Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and concise reports and advice around complex issues.
