APS6/EL1 Project and Change Manager (Multiple Positions Available) Ally group is seeking multiple Project and Change Managers to join our high-profile federal government client for an initial 12-month engagement, with the possibility of further extensions. The role is located in Canberra, but our client will consider flexible working arrangements. The nominated place of work will need to comply with the department’s security and flexible working arrangements, among other relevant policies. Role Overview: The Project and Change Manager will aid in generating business and project artefact documentation, managing business engagement and communication, and integrating newly acquired products into existing business processes. They will support various work packages and transition to Operations-related activities, including managing, distributing, and creating communication materials such as Project Plans, Risk Plans, and Change Management Plans. The successful candidate will: Collaborate closely with business areas, technical experts, and external resources to deliver project outcomes. Effectively plan and coordinate activities to ensure successful delivery of project outcomes. Coordinate the delivery of project outcomes in alignment with architecture, program delivery, and financial objectives. Develop and maintain project artefacts, including project plans, status reports, and benefits management documents. Develop a communications engagement and change strategy to support stakeholders, align expectations with project objectives, and realise ROI and benefits. Perform risk management activities for projects, ensuring adherence to appropriate and effective governance arrangements supported by comprehensive reporting. Establish, maintain, and coordinate stakeholder engagement to facilitate input. Support change sponsors and ensure project ROI through effective change management. Conduct change assessments and monitor/report on change implementation. Initiate, develop, and maintain strong relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. Negotiate and collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure the achievement of project outcomes. Coach business owners and change team members in change management practices. Our ideal candidate will have: Proven experience in project and change management. A solid understanding and experience of how individuals undergo change processes. Knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, and tools such as Prosci/ADKAR. A proven track record in developing and maintaining project artefacts like project plans, status reports, and benefits management documents. Excellent communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills. The ability to develop communication strategies to support stakeholder engagement. Experience in performing risk management activities for projects. The ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders. The confidence to coach business owners and change team members in change management practices.
