For More Information About Our Agency, Please Visit Department of State Development | statedevelopment.sa.gov.au About The Role Working as part of the Analytics and Information Systems team, the Business Analyst is responsible for supporting the delivery of a range of business improvement services to support skills and employment strategic objectives, with a focus on designing and implementing organisational systems and processes. This role requires supporting the team to collaborate with key stakeholders to support business priorities through combinations of suitable ICT solutions and business practices. More Specifically, You Will Assist in conducting business process analysis activities to help achieve defined outcomes, manage risks, and align with key milestones, strategies, and plans. Collaborate across the Directorate to identify challenges, explore business improvement opportunities and support the implementation and maintenance of solutions that enhance efficiency. Contribute to the evaluation and refinement of business processes to improve workflows, resource allocation, and overall operational effectiveness. Assist in analysing and reporting on testing outcomes, monitoring the effectiveness of changes, and providing insights for continuous improvement. Support change management initiatives by contributing to planning, coordination, and communication efforts to ensure smooth implementation. Build and strengthen key relationships within the Directorate to design and implement advanced data analysis frameworks to generate actionable insights, enhancing business intelligence capabilities. Key Competencies To succeed in this role, you will be able to demonstrate: Experience assisting in the analysis of business needs, processes, and systems, working with business units and ICT specialists to support the development and implementation of operational policies and ICT solutions. The ability to contribute to business improvement activities, including assisting in the development of plans, strategies, business cases, policies, and procedures. Strong analytical skills to evaluate the effectiveness of critical testing processes, implemented changes and business improvement optimisations, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. Understanding of skills and employment policy objectives and their application in business processes and system requirements. You Will Also Be Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver outcomes within set timeframes. Diligent and detail-oriented, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in business analysis and reporting. An effective communicator, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders and contribute to business process discussions. Remuneration Competitive salary will be offered as $76,561 to $80,256 pa plus superannuation.
