For More Information About Our Agency, Please Visit Department of State Development | statedevelopment.sa.gov.au About The Role Working as part of the Analytics and Information Systems team, the Senior Business Analyst is responsible for delivering a range of business improvement services to support skills and employment strategic objectives, with a focus on designing and implementing organisational systems and processes. This role requires collaborating with key stakeholders to support business priorities through combinations of suitable ICT solutions and business practices. More Specifically, You Will Coordinate and conduct complex business process analysis to drive strategic outcomes, mitigate risks, and ensure alignment with organisational objectives, milestones, and strategic plans. Collaborate across the Directorate to identify key challenges, assess business improvement opportunities, and implement high-impact solutions. Provide expert input in business process design, ensuring the efficient operation of value streams, resource allocation, and scheduling frameworks. Conduct in-depth analysis to ensure the timely and accurate reporting of critical testing outcomes, identifying key trends and areas for enhancement. Provide strategic guidance on change management initiatives, including readiness assessments, stakeholder engagement, and execution strategies. Build and strengthen key relationships within the Directorate to design and implement advanced data analysis frameworks to generate actionable insights, enhancing business intelligence capabilities. Key Competencies To succeed in this role, you will be able to demonstrate: Proven experience in analysing strategic business needs, processes and systems, collaborating with business units and ICT specialists to develop and implement effective businesses practices, operational policies and ICT solutions. Demonstrated ability to lead strategic business improvement efforts, including developing and executing comprehensive plans, strategies, business cases, policies, and procedures. Expertise in evaluating the effectiveness of critical testing processes, implemented changes, and business improvements through robust analytical approaches and timely, accurate reporting. Sound knowledge of skills and employment policy objectives, with the ability to translate them into operational system requirements and effective business processes. You Will Also Have Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex issues, apply lateral thinking, and develop innovative, practical solutions that enhance operational efficiency. Strong communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strategic networks, facilitate collaboration, and drive stakeholder engagement. The ability to work independently under broad direction, effectively prioritising strategic activities to meet performance outcomes in dynamic environments with competing priorities. Remuneration Competitive salary will be offered as $98,478 to $104,165 pa plus superannuation.
