Working at DSD will provide you with an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of some of the government’s major economic initiatives, and importantly, make a lasting positive difference and contribute to the prosperity of our state.We take pride in being an employer of choice and providing a work environment that is vibrant and rewarding for people of all levels.Help us shape our state’s economic future and position South Australia on the national and global stage.For More Information About Our Agency, Please Visit Department of State Development | statedevelopment.sa.gov.auAbout The Role The Finance and Investment Services team leads the development of budget strategy; provides financial, grant, procurement and contract management advice, services, and support, whilst ensuring the management of public funds is aligned with Government legislation and the Department’s Enterprise Plan.The team have an opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to join the team as a ASO6 Senior Finance Business Partner .As The ASO6 Senior Financial Business Partner, You Will Primarily Coordinate And Provide Expert Financial Support, Administration, Advice And Compliance Monitoring For The Department, Such As:Deliver high level financial and management reporting and budgeting services Develop and maintain a key partnership role with leaders and business units to provide expert and professional finance related advisory, information and consultation services Deliver the financial expertise and support required Coordinate and ensure that reporting obligations are met in a timely, effective and compliant manner Key Competencies To succeed in the ASO6 Senior Finance Business Partner role, you will be able to demonstrate:Knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, Treasurer’s Instructions, Audit and Treasury requirements, taxation legislation, and risk management principles and their application within a government context. Demonstrated experience in business partnering with internal clients including the provision of budget management and other financial services. Significant experience in a broad range of specialist financial support including a responsive helpdesk function and analysing and contributing to senior level and critical submissions and financial system, process and policy review and development.
