About the Role: The WHS Business Partner is responsible for the provision of expert Work, Health and Safety (WHS) knowledge and advice to education sites, partnerships and corporate divisions. The WHS Business Partner will use WHS expertise and skills to build capacity and add value to sites while achieving performance in accordance with whole of government public sector targets. The WHS Business Partner contributes to the development, implementation, coordination and review of the Safety Management System in consultation with executive leaders, site leaders, corporate business units and WHS unit, ensuring effective business partnerships through strong customer engagement, coaching and developing capacity while responding to operational needs and promoting a safety culture where people feel safe and supported. Qualifications: Essential: Nil.Desirable: An appropriate tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety Management, Risk Management or other related discipline OR Cert IV in WHS or relevant experience in a similar role. Special Conditions: The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years. For all other Special Conditions please refer to the attached Position Description. Remuneration: ASO7 $108,109 - 116,864 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (11.5%) and leave loading.
