People-centred care | Quality and safety | Integrity and accountability | Empowered workforce | Continuous improvement What's involved – The Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Liaison Officer - Male (Identified) provides culturally appropriate support, advocacy, and practical assistance for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander patients, their families/carers, and the community to receive coordinated care across the health continuum of care. This role will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the provision of appropriate and culturally sensitive services to contribute to improved health outcomes and the reduction of health inequalities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Identified Role: Under Section 25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 (Qld), it is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be Indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Community.
