Collaborative and innovative working environment Join a school committed to student and staff wellbeing The Role Leading independent girls’ school, Camberwell Girls Grammar School, presents an opportunity for an Accounts Officer to join our team on a part-time basis (approx. 0.68 FTE). Reporting into the Finance Manager you will be responsible for accounts receipting and the General Ledger interface functions of the School, including the billing of tuition fees and following up outstanding payments. There is flexibility on hours and days of work, however they must include Mondays & Fridays each week. You Will Make An Impact By Overseeing and performing all tasks relating to the accounts receivable, including the billing of school tuition fees, invoicing of commercial debtors and debt collection processes as appropriate. Performing account management tasks including preparing the daily bank reconciliation, receipting of funds and account reconciliations. Performing general ledger tasks including the management of entries and journals, analysis and preparation of monthly budget reports. Maintaining and administering petty cash. Assist in maintaining the school’s financial records including storage and archiving. Supporting Finance projects as required. To be successful in this role… As an experienced Accounts Receivable professional, you will be highly organised, detail-focused, and take pride in producing accurate work of a high calibre. You are courteous, calm, and professional in your approach, with the confidence to handle challenging situations with tact and diplomacy, including making calls to follow up on overdue accounts. You Will Have Accounting qualification (preferred) Previous experience in a similar role Previous experience following up outstanding bills and negotiating payment plans Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong computer literacy with experience using Microsoft Office Current Working with Children Check Current Criminal Record Check Why join Camberwell Girls Grammar School?
