Overview: Location: Newcastle Salary: $100,000 - $120,000 + Superannuation Full-Time Permanent Role Prefers 5 days in the office Newly Created Leadership Role Lead a Small, Highly Capable Team Drive Processes & Efficiencies The Opportunity: This is an exciting newly created role within a growing business looking to strengthen its finance leadership team. As the Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in streamlining financial processes, enhancing efficiency, and leading a high-performing team. If you’re a seasoned AP/AR leader with a passion for process improvement and team development, this is your chance to make a real impact. Role Profile: As the AP/AR Manager, you’ll oversee the full accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring smooth operations, accuracy, and efficiency across all transactions. Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the AP and AR teams, fostering a high-performing and collaborative environment. Accounts Payable: Oversee invoice processing, supplier payments, and expense management to maintain strong vendor relationships. Accounts Receivable: Ensure timely and accurate invoicing, manage debt collection processes, and drive cash flow optimisation. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for efficiency gains, automation, and best practices to streamline financial operations. Compliance & Reporting: Ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements while producing regular AP/AR reports for senior management. Collaboration: Work closely with finance leadership and other departments to enhance financial controls and reporting accuracy. Successful Candidate Profile: We’re looking for an experienced AP/AR professional with strong leadership skills and a track record of driving efficiencies. Proven experience as an AP/AR Manager or Senior Finance Professional in a leadership capacity. Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash flow management. Process-driven mindset with a passion for automation and efficiency improvements. Exceptional team management and mentoring skills. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and improve reporting processes. Excellent stakeholder engagement abilities to liaise with suppliers, internal teams, and senior leadership.
