Kaurareg Native Title Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC Key Responsibilities Apply knowledge of Kaurareg Native Title Aboriginal Corporation’s (KNTAC) objectives, performance, and legislated obligations under the native title legislation, the Corporations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) Act 2006 (CATSI Act), funding agreements, and the corporation’s rule book. Manage native title and administrative functions, including economic development, property, and risk management. Coordinate requests from private and government agencies for activities on native title land and proposed future acts from proponents. Supervise and manage KNTAC’s native title and administrative staff. Provide regular reports to the directors in areas including financial management, staffing, training, native title, risk management, and compliance with legislative requirements. Liaise with directors on meetings with external parties, and assist in the organisation and coordination of formal meetings of traditional owners for native title decisions. Maintain confidentiality, transparency, and accurate records in all administrative tasks. Regularly consult with Kaurareg traditional owners and elders to ensure culturally appropriate consultation and decision-making. Assist with the filing, collation of records, photocopying, and other administrative duties as needed. Selection Criteria Knowledge of Native Title Legislation and Corporate Governance Demonstrated understanding and experience in applying native title legislation, the CATSI Act, and other relevant legislative frameworks to the management of Indigenous corporations. Ability to interpret and implement statutory obligations and funding agreements related to native title and Aboriginal land management. Leadership and Staff Management Proven experience in managing a team, including the ability to lead, motivate, and mentor staff in a culturally sensitive and supportive manner. Strong skills in managing administrative functions, overseeing the performance of staff, and ensuring the delivery of key responsibilities within set deadlines. Experience in Stakeholder Engagement and Consultation Ability to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders, including traditional owners, elders, government agencies, and the private sector. Demonstrated experience in consulting with Indigenous communities, ensuring culturally appropriate consultation processes, and managing community relationships. Financial and Risk Management Skills Proven experience in managing financial and administrative functions, including budgeting, reporting, and financial oversight for an organisation. Ability to identify, assess, and manage risk within a native title and corporate environment, ensuring compliance with relevant financial and legislative frameworks. Organisational and Communication Skills Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare reports, liaise with directors and stakeholders, and ensure transparency in all dealings. #J-18808-Ljbffr
