Streaky Bay MPS Elmhaven Hostel is seeking a dedicated Activity Coordinator - Leisure and Lifestyle to join our team and make a positive impact on the daily lives of our residents. About the Role: As the Activity Coordinator - Leisure and Lifestyle, you will be integral to enhancing the quality of life for our residents by developing, implementing, and evaluating therapeutic and educational programs. Your role will involve creating opportunities that promote independence, self-esteem, and active participation in social and recreational events. Key Responsibilities: Develop and coordinate engaging therapeutic and educational programs tailored for older adults and individuals with disabilities. Design and implement both individual and group diversional therapy activities that cater to the diverse needs of our residents. Provide direct client service to residents within the MPS residential aged care beds at Coober Pedy Hospital. Collaborate with the Nurse Unit Manager Aged Care, reporting directly to the Executive Officer/Director of Nursing to ensure programs align with residents’ needs and preferences. Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check and appropriate immunisation requirements.
