Administration Assistant - Performing Arts - (78) Position Title: Administration Assistant Job Type: Permanent (Part-time) Genesis Christian College is an authentic Christian school that provides high quality education. Our modern, well-equipped campus is located on the north side of Brisbane with an enrolment of over 1600 students from Prep to Year 12. We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Administrator with a passion for organising and administration to join our Performing Arts department. Reporting to the Director of Performing Arts, this role includes assisting the department with the administration of the co-curricular performing arts program and preparing materials for classes. This is a permanent, 4 days per week, Term-Time position (during school terms only, yes, you get the school holidays off!) Working hours are 8:00am - 4:00pm. Responsibilities: Assisting with the organisation and administration of the co-curricular performing arts program, including team auditions, rehearsals, rolls, correspondence, uniforms, eisteddfod entries and organisation, bus bookings and risk assessments. Organisation and administration of all performing arts camps and trips. Assisting with the organisation and administration of performing arts events. Administrative duties, including filing, data collation and record keeping, creation of tables, management of digital storage, responding to phone calls and inquiries, assisting with parent information letters and collating information for publications. Supporting the Director of Performing Arts with role-specific administrative tasks. Preparing materials for practical lessons and resources and monitoring storage areas and their lock up. Purchasing and organisation of resources. Overseeing contractor and student involvement in co-curricular activities. Liaising with other departments to achieve departmental goals. Accurately gathering and analysing data for departmental purposes. Overseeing the production of professionally styled booklets and programs. To be successful, you will have: Demonstrated experience in an administrative support role. The ability to take administrative, scheduling and procedural initiative. Strong attention to detail. Strong graphic design skills. Strong IT capabilities with high proficiency in Microsoft 365. Strong organisational and process skills. Ability to maintain both paper-based and electronic records and filing systems. A genuine appreciation and interest in the performing arts industry. Experience working in an educational setting is preferred. Current Blue Card. An active Christian faith and strong Christian character.
