Job Description

The Glennie School is an Anglican school for girls in Toowoomba, providing an exceptional education for Kindergarten to Year 12 students with boarding from Year 5. About the Role: The Sport Administration Assistant provides high-quality administrative assistance to students, parents, and staff through advanced computing and office management, and effective support through the use of problem-solving and organisational skills. This may include revising existing systems or devising new systems as required. The Administration Assistant has a strong customer focus, building networks and sourcing opportunities to further enhance Glennie sports, offering helpful, friendly, and approachable service. The role requires the ability to use initiative, resolve minor matters, and refer more serious matters to appropriate members of staff. The successful applicant will enjoy a stimulating work environment in a team of talented professionals. This position is full-time, term time plus two weeks. About you: Certificate III in Business Administration or similar qualification, or equivalent experience; Current Driver Licence - Open class; Ability to apply for and gain an Authority to Drive Licence; Sound knowledge and use of Google Suite (desirable); Experience in working in a school environment (desirable); Sports coaching experience (desirable); Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills; Proven ability to meet deadlines; Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills; Proven ability to work as a constructive member of a team in a professional, courteous manner; Enjoy working in an energetic and busy office environment; Ability to display initiative in the performance of duties; Willing to undertake a variety of tasks and upskill in new areas; Maintain a degree of flexibility in working hours from time to time as required; Hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card, in accordance with ‘No Card, No Start law’, as per the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000; Commitment to and understanding of the ethos of Anglican Schools.
