Ward 4D, Breast and Endocrine and Upper Gastro-Intestinal unit are looking for an Administration Support Officer to join their team. The Breast and Endocrine and Upper Gastro-Intestinal unit is a surgical specialty ward that consists of 28 beds. It provides safe, evidence based and quality care, and its aim is to provide quality holistic health care utilising a coordinated multidisciplinary approach resulting in optimal patient outcomes and a cost-efficient service.We are Metro South Health We are the major public healthcare provider for Brisbane's south side, Logan, Redlands and the Scenic Rim. Provide excellent customer services, and communicate clearly and confidently with patients, members of the public and departmental staff over the phone, via email and in person and assist staff and clients in the work unit as requested. Operate at a high level of autonomy whilst producing and delivering the dictated medical and/or medicolegal reports for public and private patients, and/or police statements. Communicate with medical officers and other staff to ensure delivery of the dictated transcripts within prescribed time requirements. Respond to general customer inquiries over the phone, email and in person and assist staff and clients in the work unit as requested.
