Continuing – Full Time position. The Division of External Engagement supports the growth and success of the University through the development of partnerships and delivery of engagement programs that enhance reputation, grow revenue, and create positive, lasting change in the communities where the University engages. The Division oversees strategy and delivery of the University’s key services in domestic and international student recruitment, admissions, global engagement, alumni relations and philanthropy, media and corporate communications and industry and government partnerships and volunteers, among many others. Working under general direction, the Admissions Operations Officer will contribute to the admissions function within the designated team in Admissions Operations. This position is responsible for a broad range of tasks involved in the application and admission process for programs with non-standard admission requirements. These include ensuring accurate information is available to students, providing assessment outcomes to other admissions teams for applicants seeking admission to the University of Adelaide. The position also provides support in response to admission events and periods of high-volume application processing. The incumbent will work closely with the other Admissions Operations teams, Recruitment and Future Student Engagement teams to ensure admission transparency requirements are met and admission processes and decisions are both transparent and academically defensible. To be successful you will need: Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply complex processes, systems, and policies, with prior experience or knowledge of admissions processes (domestic or international) considered an advantage. Highly developed organisational skills and initiative, including the ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain strong attention to detail in a complex and fast-paced environment. Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills, including effective communication and consultation with a diverse range of stakeholders. Proven ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, and legislative requirements, providing timely and accurate advice to students and stakeholders. Advanced technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and information systems for maintaining records, data analysis, and reporting. Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team, with a focus on fostering positive and inclusive team dynamics.
