Job Description

Classification: APS 6 THE ROLE: This role is responsible for the systems administration of our learning management system. You will be joining the Capability team and working with IT, cyber-security and other internal stakeholders to ensure we configure and optimise our learning management system.Experience across the full life cycle of learning management system management is required and will involve working collaboratively with the LMS vendor to identify improvements, fixes and innovations.This role will require a user centred and co-design mindset to create a high quality and seamless learning environment while working collaboratively to support Austrade’s cloud strategy and cyber security framework.DUTIES INCLUDE: System Management – you will be the lead systems administrator, working with the Capability team and Corporate Systems team to perform systems administration duties including user maintenance, environment management, incident resolution, service request management, end user training, report creation and query creation. You will also be developing, maintaining and managing up to date and relevant work instructions. Delivery – You will be responsible for ongoing maintenance of the LMS. This will involve working with IT, the Corporate Systems and our vendor to continue to improve the learner experience. You will work collaboratively with the Corporate Systems support team to provide documentation to help them resolve tickets and other issues. This may include larger projects such as supporting major changes to configuration, migrating content and records and supporting the creation of new content. Integration – you will partner with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities for integration with business units. Through these relationships, you will co-design and deliver solutions that address strategic and business challenges. Stakeholder Engagement – you will work closely with strategic external partners and internal clients to deliver high-quality training to Austrade staff. Ability to think from a learner’s perspective and on behalf of a global audience and how they would interact with the course and learning environment. Data & Reporting – you will work with stakeholders to identify standard reports that are required and create appropriate reporting mechanisms available through the platform. You will respond to ad hoc report requests. Working with the Capability team, you will contribute to the data strategy and provide support. Collaboration – you will work collaboratively with the Capability Development Team to advise on the best use of the learning system including naming conventions, architecture and functionalities that will optimise the learning experience for our global workforce, creation of shared knowledge and support continual process improvement. Evaluation – you will identify and collect appropriate data to analyse use and effectiveness of the platform to ensure continuous improvement while also building an evaluation strategy in consultation with the Capability team to inform the overall effectiveness of the platform.
