Position Number: 0064116Location: ParkvilleRole type: Full-time; ContinuingDepartment: Office of the ProvostSalary: UOM8– $119,742– $129,607 p.a. plus 17% super About the Role The Advisor (Academic Quality) supports the planning, coordination, and delivery of academic quality activities within the Office of the Provost. This role focuses on improving and implementing the University’s academic quality framework, advising stakeholders on curriculum and student management, and ensuring compliance with key legislation. The Advisor will manage projects, develop materials, and work closely with stakeholders to uphold academic policies in line with regulatory standards. Your responsibilities will include: Providing expert advice and support for academic quality assurance, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Reviewing performance and benchmarking services against sector best practices, identifying areas for improvement in policies, practices, and technology. Designing, implementing, and maintaining processes to operationalise academic policies and ensure consistent application across the University. Managing key projects within the Office of the Provost, including project design, implementation, evaluation, and stakeholder engagement. Who we are looking for You will have excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders. You will demonstrate high-level organisational and problem-solving abilities, effectively managing competing priorities and complex projects, using technology to streamline processes. Your strong analytical skills will enable you to evaluate and synthesise information from multiple sources to guide decision-making, while your flexibility and adaptability will ensure successful collaboration and delivery in a dynamic environment. You will also have: A minimum bachelor’s degree with relevant experience, or extensive experience in the Australian university sector, particularly in academic learning and teaching and/or quality management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A strong understanding of higher education quality policy, including the Higher Education Standards Framework (Threshold Standards) and related legislation. Experience in curriculum governance and accreditation, with knowledge of the Australian higher education sector. Please note: This role requires the successful candidate to undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University.
