Safety Advisor George Fisher Mine Mount Isa, Queensland, Australia Reference No: 33266 The Role Glencore Mount Isa Mines has an exciting opportunity for a Safety Advisor to join our George Fisher Mining team in Mount Isa. Reporting directly to the Senior Safety Advisor, this position allows you to work with frontline personnel and leadership teams to implement safety and health improvement measures. This role will also provide specialist advice to the operational teams for GFM Operations and HSEC on risk identification and control management. Your key responsibilities include: Supporting the George Fisher Mine Operations critical control management system Participate in risk identifications, assessment workshops, conducting quality observations to enhance risk assessments used in the field Promoting awareness and monitoring compliance to the safety management systems and processes Working closely with leadership and workers to plan and implement safety and health improvement measures Leading incident investigations and communicating lessons learned using the ICAM Methodology Conduct B-Safe inspections and audits as required Engaging the leadership and workforce in the ongoing improvement of our safety culture Safety performance reporting The successful applicants will have: Tertiary Safety qualifications (minimum – Cert IV or equivalent qualification in OHS or related discipline) Certificate in ICAM Methodology with experience leading investigations will be of advantage Manual driver licence Proactive approach to work and the ability to work across departmental boundaries and achieve results Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills and an authentic commitment to improving health and safety outcomes Highly effective communicator through all levels of the business Practical experience in the field of safety and underground mining will be of advantage For further information, please contact: Jo-Mari Botha, recruitment Advisor on Applications Close: 08:00 am, Monday 24 February 2025#J-18808-Ljbffr
