This ongoing full-time position is located in Doncaster, with hybrid working arrangements available.About The Role If you're ready to take on a challenging and rewarding social media position with an organisation that makes a real difference to the lives of Victorians every day, this could be the job for you.Reporting to the Manager Content and Social Media, the Advisor Social Media will work within a high-performing and supportive team to deliver social media plans, content and campaigns for AV's social media channels. You will also work collaboratively with the media team and other internal and external stakeholders and teams to ensure content is relevant, engages with online audiences and is aligned with AV's strategic objectives.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:Proactively plan and produce innovative and engaging social media content (including videos) for a range of social media platforms including Facebook, X, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn. Schedule and publish social media ensuring best practice and a mobile-first approach. Manage social media issues to mitigate risk, ensuring social media content aligns with AV's approved policy positions, messaging and priorities. Monitor, moderate and respond to the online community with sound judgement and expertise ensuring channels reduce risk to AV, adhere to best practice and enhance user experience. Partner with the business to deliver engaging social media content which best showcases AV's work, assists in building and maintaining positive relationships with key stakeholders, and enhances and protects our reputation. Work in collaboration with the wider Strategy and Engagement division to integrate social media activity with planning and delivery of best practice communication and engagement. Develop and maintain strong, meaningful, and productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. About You To be considered for this position you will possess:Completion of a degree or relevant industry certification with subsequent appropriate experience, or an equivalent combination of training and relevant experience. Experience in successfully managing online communities and social media activities that have delivered solid results. Experience in using story-telling and narrative to promote key messages and engage audiences through the production of compelling content. Experience in using social media to effectively engage audiences and knowledge of analytics functions to provide reports, evaluations and commentary on the effectiveness of social media activity. Demonstrated application of experience and technical capabilities to shoot photos and video, edit, general graphic design skills, manage digital assets, and proficiency with relevant software (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva). Excellent written, oral, publishing and interpersonal communication skills with a passion for delivering creative and impactful work to key audiences. Flexibility to effectively cope with day-to-day work changes, shifting priorities and periods of uncertainty. The ability to think creatively to proactively produce high quality, engaging content for social media channels and audiences under tight deadlines, and a willingness to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with the capacity to make sound decisions under pressure. Sound judgement and ethical behaviour in making and influencing quality decisions and developing innovative solutions.
