Organisation: Department of Transport and Planning Occupation: Regulatory Governance and Compliance Reference: 6554 Network Design and Integration is a Group within the Department of Transport and Planning, responsible for delivering transport priorities through the planning, development, delivery, and operationalising of an integrated pipeline of road and rail projects supporting the Major Transport Infrastructure Program and shaping Victoria’s transport network. The Major Projects – Roads Division ensures major transport infrastructure projects are developed and delivered by the Victorian Infrastructure Delivery Authority (VIDA) to meet the Department’s transport system requirements regarding safety, functionality, and long-term benefits for all transport users. We’re focused on outcomes that deliver more choice, connections, and confidence in our travel, ensuring the whole transport network works as one to deliver better services and outcomes. About the Role This is a Fixed Term, full-time position for 2 years. The Advisor, Project Governance position sits within the Major Projects – Roads division and supports the design, implementation, and monitoring of governance systems, products, and services across the major transport infrastructure delivery program. Key activities are focused on: Delivering best practice governance and secretariat functions for select project and network governance committees. Managing the strategic forward agendas in consultation with key stakeholder groups. Providing advice on best practice governance processes including identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities. Assisting with preparing and coordinating briefings and reports. Providing broad project support to the Major Projects Road and Rail divisions. Position Outcomes The role encompasses delivering timely, accurate, and transparent governance support, including secretariat functions, technical advice, and business intelligence to enhance committee operations and departmental compliance. It emphasizes continuous improvement, effective upward management, and fostering a safe, inclusive, and flexible team environment. Qualifications and Experience Experience in project, program, and process delivery. Experience in managing or supporting governance committees or Boards.
