Aged Care / Health Care Hotel Services and Building Maintenance Manager Longford, Tasmania, Australia Toosey Aged Care Longford, Tasmania, Australia About the Role We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Hotel Services Manager and Building Maintenance Manager to join our team at Toosey. This position is responsible for the coordination of support services, ensuring high standards in building maintenance, food service operations, food safety compliance, environmental services, cleaning and waste management auditing, as well as linen and laundry services for our aged care facility. The successful candidate will be confident in multitasking, demonstrate maturity, leadership, and professionalism, and thrive in a dynamic and flexible work environment. Key Responsibilities Oversee and coordinate daily operations within Support Services, ensuring staff are effectively allocated and work schedules are managed efficiently. Provide leadership and support to team members, empowering them to undertake their roles effectively. Ensure compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards, ANZFA Food Safety Standards, the Food Act 2003, and other relevant regulatory requirements. Manage catering services, housekeeping, laundry services, and environmental safety standards. Ensure the grounds and facilities remain safe and accessible for residents and visitors. Oversee procurement management to ensure effective and cost-efficient operations. Monitor contractor performance and establish contracts for key service providers. Manage stocks, supplies, and equipment needs, ensuring appropriate procurement procedures are followed. Adhere to and enforce organisational safety policies and procedures, ensuring all work practices are conducted safely. Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Excellent organisational and communication skills. Strong leadership and motivational abilities within a diverse workplace team. Experience in aged care maintenance and support services. Ability to provide technical advice and produce technical reports. Sound knowledge of WH&S requirements. At least one year of experience as a maintenance officer in aged care or a comparable industry is advantageous. Selection Criteria Proven leadership, management, and supervisory abilities.
