About the Role As an Aged Care Home & Community Assistant, you will be providing personalised support to older Australians to remain independent within their home whilst making a positive impact in their community. This role supports clients in our Transitionary Aged Care Program, providing care to older people returning home after hospital stays. This is a casual opportunity with working hours between 7am and 6pm, Monday to Friday, with no evening or sleepover shifts. Shift durations can start from 2 hours. The successful candidate will have a willingness to travel, as they will be supporting clients who reside around Bega and surrounding areas, with travel of up to 45 minutes between clients. You will be reimbursed for your KM’s travelled while you work! Key Responsibilities Personal Care including grooming and showering Domestic assistance such as meal preparation and light house cleaning Community access to medical appointments and social activities Supporting with tasks and routines Build positive relationships with clients Skills & Experience Passionate about making a positive impact in our ageing community Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Disability or similar) will be highly regarded An Australian Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle with minimum third-party insurance. Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships A current First Aid and CPR Certificate (must be obtained prior to employment) Successful candidates will be required to undertake relevant pre-employment checks to ensure the safety of our clients. This includes a National Criminal History Record Check and an Aged Care Statutory Declaration.
