Job Description
Aged Care Support Worker (Southern Highlands) Location: Various locations around Southern Highlands (Must be willing to travel) Salary: Competitive, based on experience Job Type: Casual NOTE: Due to the personal nature of the services, we require female applicants only Astute Living Care is a trusted provider of support services, specializing in tailored care for veterans and their families. We are seeking a compassionate and professional Aged Care Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to supporting clients with psychosocial disabilities, possess excellent communication skills, and embrace ongoing learning and development. Responsibilities: Provide personal care, including hygiene and grooming, tailored to the needs of the elderly and their families. Provide emotional and practical support to elderly clients. Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks. Develop and implement individual support plans in consultation with clients and their families. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client progress and provide reports as required. Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, psychologists, and social workers. Participate in ongoing training and development activities to enhance skills and knowledge. Requirements: Certificate IV in Disability Support or Individual Support (or equivalent). Experience in aged care, personal care, or similar roles is highly valued. Proven experience with DVA clients . Ability to work flexible hours, including shorter shifts. Willingness to travel between shifts and work at various locations. Updated Certificates (e.g., First Aid and CPR, etc.). Valid Australian Driver's License and has own transportation.
