ASIC's Digital, Data & Technology (DD&T) group is seeking a dynamic highly skilled Scrum Master to join their team. The successful candidate will lead the implementation of Agile practices within ASIC's RegistryConnect Program. 24-month fixed term position based in Melbourne Salary starting from $168,580 + 15.4% superannuation (depending on experience) Applications close at 11:59pm ADST, Sunday 23 March 2025 The team The Digital, Data & Technology (DD&T) group at ASIC is at the forefront of driving transformational change and delivering cutting-edge technology services. This dynamic group encompasses Information Technology, Cyber Security, Data, Digital, Portfolio Office, and Registry Connect, which is modernising ASIC's Business Registers. These teams are pivotal in supporting ASIC's development and business transformation in areas such as data and analytics, cloud, mobility, and application modernisation. By harnessing the latest technology and prioritising data sharing and analytics, ASIC is on a mission to become a ‘best in class' regulator for the Australian Financial Markets. The role The Scrum Master will be responsible for leading Agile practices within the RegistryConnect Program, mentoring teams on Scrum and Kanban, and optimizing processes. The individual will design workshops, foster communication, monitor performance, and support continuous improvement of agile methodologies across RegistryConnect and ASIC initiatives. More specifically, you will: Lead the implementation of Agile practices within the RegistryConnect Program, guiding teams through the change process and driving adoption of new methodologies. Mentor and coach teams on Agile frameworks like Scrum and Kanban, optimizing processes and enhancing collaboration. Design and conduct workshops to educate teams on Agile principles, ceremonies, and practices. Foster open communication among team members, stakeholders and leadership to align on Agile goals. Identify and address cultural barriers to Agile adoption, promoting continuous improvement. Monitor team performance using Agile metrics and identify areas for improvement. Coach leaders, including Project Managers, on supporting Agile teams and creating an environment conducive to Agile practices. Support the continuous improvement and maturity of agile methodologies across RegistryConnect and other ASIC initiatives. Drive the setup and support of integrated tools and methodologies for planning, tracking, and reporting on program delivery. Provide quality assurance over deliverables and processes associated with Agile practices. About you The ideal candidate for this role will possess relevant qualifications in IT or Business Management, with experience managing project teams in complex environments. They will have a proven track record in coaching project managers and teams on Agile practices, demonstrating strong leadership, organizational, communication, and facilitation skills. In addition, you will have: Relevant qualifications in IT or Business Management, with experience managing project teams in complex environments. Project Management certifications (PRINCE2, Agile, SAFe) are highly regarded. Proven experience in coaching project managers and teams on Agile practices. Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and facilitation skills. Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities. Ability to present complex information effectively to project and executive audiences. Deep understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
