Job Description

Hear and Say is a Queensland wide provider of speech pathology and audiology services. We operate state-wide and support people of all ages - from newborn babies, to toddlers, school-age children, and adults. An exceptional opportunity currently exists for a motivated individual to join us in our Toowoomba clinic, in the role of Allied Health Assistant . This is a part time role of up to 15.2 hours per week. Reporting to the Speech Pathologist, Listening and Spoken Language Specialist and relevant Team Leader, this role is responsible for supporting the administration and delivery of clinical services whilst under the guidance of qualified clinicians. Key accountabilities in this role may include: Clinical room and storage room preparation, cleaning and organisation, along with the development of clinical resources for clinical appointments. Shadow, learn and upskill in Speech Pathology (SP) and Listening and Spoken Language (LSL) service provision. Conduct SP/LSL therapy sessions, under delegation from a Speech Pathologist or Listening and Spoken Language Specialist. Regular meetings with supervising supervisor regarding client progress and observations. Administrative support including maintaining/updating clinical documents and notes for client sessions, assisting with reports, and updates to clinical CRM and databases. The ideal candidate will be studying Speech Pathology or have a minimum qualification of a Cert 4 or equivalent in allied health assistance. You will demonstrate a commitment to achieving good clinical outcomes with strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement management skills, coupled with meticulous attention to detail, good time management, organisational and administrative skills. The ability to thrive in a busy and dynamic work environment will also see you succeeding in this role. You will also be able to meet the following mandatory requirements of the role: Eligibility to clear probity checks including disability worker screening (Yellow Card) and a working with children check (Blue Card).
