The Role: As the Application Support Analyst, you will provide comprehensive application and technical support of AP+’s tokenisation projects in a 12 month max term contract role. This role involves collaboration with the internal testing and project teams and performing support activities with vendors and customers. This role requires flexible work hours outside of standard business hours (between 12pm-9pm AEDT/AEST) to liaise with testers, customers and vendors based offshore.Proposed Role Responsibilities: Supporting project work including non-functional testing, configuration activities, documentation review, implementation support outside of standard business hours. Undertaking the day-to-day project support activities and completing tasks within agreed service levels and in accordance with the documented procedures. Identifying and troubleshooting issues to facilitate the seamless testing of application upgrades. Providing support in application deployment and performing health checks and testing where required. Developing and maintaining a knowledge management database on each application release and configurations performed for a smooth handover to the production support team. Maintaining the health of the supported applications through regular proactive monitoring and remediating any issues that impact application availability and performance. Collaborating with internal and external support teams to ensure smooth functioning of the applications and resolution of issues. Driving continual improvement through improving task workflows, application processes and working towards automation. Proposed Position Requirements: Minimum 3 years in an application support role or equivalent. Extensive knowledge of Unix/Windows OS, Jboss application server, Oracle SQL, Java. Experience with application monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, Splunk, Datadog or Dynatrace. Strong understanding of cloud technology e.g. AWS, web services, Apigee API, IP-based protocols. Exposure to automation tools e.g. Jenkins. Non-functional testing experience including documentation of implementation plans and results. Knowledge of payments processing environments – Connex switch, payment gateway, tokenisation, EMV 3DS. Strong technical awareness and understanding of the mobile payments domain.
