Your next career opportunity As the Asset and Maintenance Manager, you will oversee the management and maintenance of the University’s physical assets, including mechanical, electrical, fire protection, vertical transport, and general building maintenance. You will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing a comprehensive asset management system, ensuring data accuracy, lifecycle planning, and compliance across all University campuses. Reporting to the Associate Director, Facilities Management, this role will lead a team of contract supervisors, manage a $10M budget, and oversee 100+ contractors. You will provide expert guidance on asset lifecycle management, performance monitoring, contract governance, and compliance while fostering strong relationships with stakeholders, including internal service teams, procurement specialists, and external contractors. Your responsibilities will include: Lead the Facilities Asset Management Strategy: Develop and implement a whole-of-life Asset Management Plan, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. Optimise Maintenance Operations: Oversee scheduled and reactive maintenance works, ensuring optimal asset performance and longevity. Stakeholder and Contractor Engagement: Manage relationships with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams, ensuring seamless service delivery. Contract Management & Compliance: Monitor contractor performance, ensuring adherence to KPIs and resolving performance gaps to drive operational excellence. You may be a great fit if: You are an experienced asset and facilities management professional with a strong background in asset lifecycle planning, contract governance, and compliance management. You should have: Tertiary qualification in a relevant field or equivalent experience in asset management, facilities management, or engineering. Extensive experience in contract management and procurement, particularly in large-scale infrastructure maintenance. Strong commercial acumen with expertise in negotiating and managing supplier/contractor relationships. Proficiency in asset management systems, data collection, and reporting to drive decision-making. Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of managing multidisciplinary teams. Please note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
