Permanent, Full-time position with a Fortnightly RDO Band 7 Salary $98,566 to $109,148 per annum plus super An exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic close-knit, high pace Assets team The Role The Asset Systems Lead position will oversee an operational team tasked with the development and oversight of asset database and systems maintenance, ensuring that asset data is robust and continuously improved upon. This role has evolved with a growing team in response to population growth, expansion of the city and its built environment with associated services, and a rounding out of the ways asset data is collected and used. This position will: Contribute to maintaining, ongoing development and continuous improvement of Council's Asset Management Information Systems, including the corporate asset databases associated with implementing Council’s Asset Management Policy, Strategic Asset Management Plan and Asset Management Plans. System Management and Maintenance: Provide support for the management of the AMIS across all business units. Asset Tracking and Reporting: Update AMIS and ensure the associated capital works and maintenance requirements are available in the system to drive capital investment planning and maintenance and servicing activities. Compliance and Risk Management: Work with service planning and asset planning teams on their AMIS needs ensuring compliance with ISO standards and alignment with the International Infrastructure Management Manual (IIMM). Data Integrity: Timely and accurate data entry to meet reporting and audit requirements. AMIS integration with Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) ensuring asset spatial information is in industry-standard formats, considering business and user needs. Data Analytics: Interpretation of data/information to help the organisation make informed decisions and sustainable asset management choices. Workflow redesign and operational reviews across the organisation to incorporate asset management within business processes. Interfacing with corporate systems, to exchange or share data and avoid duplication of data management across customer service, maintenance, financial, GIS, and risk systems. Document procedures and standards for the AMIS such as user guides and business processes for asset planning, handover, accounting, risk management, service level performance, lifecycle cost reporting and lifecycle optimisation. Lead in the development of software solutions for improved asset data collection, asset information sharing and improved customer service. About You The successful candidate will have previous experience in an asset management, information and communication technology (ICT) and/or geographic information systems (GIS) team leadership roles, ideally within local/State government organisations. Demonstrated proficiency in leading a team and business improvement, coupled with high level communication and analytical skills and a demonstrated ability to investigate and analyse data and system matters with a high level of attention to detail. Key Selection Criteria Tertiary qualification in Asset Management, Information and Communications Technology, Geographic Information Systems or equivalent discipline. Experience with creating SQL based scripts, ETL designs, manipulating Database structures and report creation. Understanding of Mobile application systems for Asset Data Collection, Capital Works, Defects. Demonstrated project delivery, interpersonal and collaborative skills, and the ability to communicate technological solutions related concepts to technical and non-technical audiences at various levels. Strong skills in Information and Communications Technology, including coding for automation, systems integration and high-level computer literacy for accessing information, calculating costs and outputs, preparing reports, and communicating with others (i.e. Word, Excel, Access and Power BI).
