About the Role The Assistant Accountant for the Development team provides accounting and admin support to the Development Finance Manager and assists in tasks to meet reporting deadlines and business requirements. Key Accountabilities Prepare basic settlement statements for sale and resale of manufactured homes Record / journal deposits, settlements and refunds associated with sales of manufactured homes Calculate commissions on a fortnightly basis for payment in line with settlements and commission terms Upload capex budgets in JDE Assist the Development team in purchase order process and queries Assist with budget reconciliation as per feasibility models Preparation of settlement forecast analysis Complete the reconciliation for all bank accounts associated with deposits, sales and settlements on a weekly basis Prepare month end balance sheet reconciliations (deposits, inventory, others as required) Work with the Finance team to prepare the audit file to support financial statements and disclosures Contribute to the preparation and verification of investor information About You Completed bachelor’s degree majoring in Accounting CA/CPA Qualification or studying towards Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Previous experience in a similar role Articulate with strong communication and interpersonal skills Experience with JDE or large ERP system preferable Takes ownership and initiative in all responsibilities Ability to work under pressure and to tight timeframes Culture and Benefits In return, we offer a competitive package, flexibility (including working from home for some roles), extensive training and development, career progression and generous reward and recognition programs including some amazing discounts at our Holiday Parks... so come join the team and apply now!
